Dear Lions,
At this week’s meeting a decision was made to cancel next week’s meeting due to the funeral of Lion Alan Carter.
Alan’s funeral is Tuesday, 8/21/07, at 1:00 pm at the Presbyterian Church. We have been asked by Alan’s family to wear our yellow vests to his funeral. We ask all Lions to come and honor Lion Alan. Please show up at the Presbyterian Church at 12:30 with your yellow Lion vests.
See you there,
Lion Frank

Addendum:
Our donation from 2006-07 is reflected in the $38,000 collected so far
toward the goal of $109,000. At $100 per member we would owe $7,700
while we have budgeted only $500 for this year from our club.

It probably would be a good idea for everyone to bring money to the next meeting to buy fair tickets. Lloyd will need to know how many vendor passes to get. Also, we need to have a few more people sign up to take the food handlers permit test.
Thank you all for your support. The fair is our biggest project of the year. Let's make sure we all get behind Dick and Lloyd, so they feel our support.
A 4 day pass for the County Fair is $15.00.
An important role of all club members is
public relations. First, internal PR as you speak with Lions club
members about membership and programs. Second, external PR as you
speak with community leaders, supporters and the general public about
programs, membership and the impact local Lions clubs have in the
community.
The Public Relations Department has several online resources to assist
in your efforts. Please click on Link to visit available websites....
